Mid/Senior Network Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mid to Senior Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, security, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing our organization's network infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary updates and patches.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances to protect against cyber threats.
  • Implement and maintain network policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Work closely with other IT team members to support and improve overall IT infrastructure.
  • Research and recommend network technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network administrators and IT staff.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise-level firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing VPNs, VLANs, and network security appliances.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
